In terms of UK towns offering the best value for working renters, Swindon is second to none.
Don't believe us?
Well, as recently as August 2018, the Wiltshire town was named the UK's most affordable town for renters in a study compiled by jobs website Adzuna.
Bradford, Hull, Dudley and Durham completed the top five, but Swindon was well out in front - with renters spending just 11.5% of their monthly salaries on rent.
That compared with London renters spending a huge 40.8% of their wages on rent.
And it's not just value that attracts renters to Swindon, either.
The town's location just north of the M4 motorway means commuters to Bristol, Cardiff and London can enjoy the benefit of affordable rent and great transport links.
Moreover, trains to London Paddington take just an hour, while services to Bristol Temple Meads take 43 minutes and Cardiff Central just over an hour.
